2. Run a 4-foot level along the track top surface. The track should be perfectly flat. Any rocking of the level indicates a high or low spot. Even 1/16″ deviation matters.
3. Run a finger along the track lip. Feel for bumps, bends, or sharp edges. The lip should be smooth and uniform.
4. Compare both ends of the track. The geometry at the left end should match the right end. Any asymmetry suggests one end has been deformed.
5. Look across the track from each end. Sight down the length of the track from one end. Any visible bend or wave in the track line is a clear sign of deformation.
