Meet Ben Wilder
Ben Wilder founded Alpha Sliding Doors in 2019 after years of hands-on experience servicing sliding doors across Florida’s coastal communities. What began as a one-truck operation in Vero Beach has grown into a 3-office company covering 13 Florida counties, serving thousands of homeowners, property managers, and commercial clients.
Ben still personally handles complex installations, multi-slide pocket door systems, and post-hurricane impact-door restoration. Every blog post, how-to guide, and customer-facing piece of content on this site is reviewed by Ben before publication.
When Hurricane Ian tore through Southwest Florida in September 2022, Ben mobilized the entire Alpha team into Lee, Collier, and Charlotte counties for recovery work — documenting every failure mode in the field. That hands-on Florida experience is what separates a specialist from a generalist.

Lake Park office opens. Coverage extends into Palm Beach and Broward counties. Condo and HOA property management accounts added.
Hurricane Ian devastates Southwest Florida in September. Alpha mobilizes for Lee, Collier, and Charlotte county recovery — dispatching daily for 90+ days post-storm.
Jacksonville office opens. Coverage extends into Duval County and Northeast Florida.
Central Florida coverage launches — Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties added. Lake Nona vacation rental and condo market grows rapidly.
10-brand multi-brand service portfolio finalized. Brevard County (Space Coast) added — total 13 counties, 3 offices, 5 regional dispatch numbers.
